The C64 Game That Sent a Troll Treasure Hunting | Trolls and Tribulations

️ Trolls and Tribulations (1984) – Commodore 64 Puzzle Platformer with a Twist Released in 1984 by Jimmy Huey and published by Creative Software for the Commodore 64, Trolls and Tribulations is an inventive platformer that blends action, puzzles, and strategy into a distinctly unusual experience. You take control of a lone troll exploring sewer-like mazes in search of hidden relics, while facing constant danger from hostile creatures and unforgiving layouts. Gameplay is split into two interconnected phases. First comes Cretin Elimination, where enemies must be neutralised using a water gun that turns them into eggs. These eggs must then be disposed of correctly, or they’ll hatch back into active threats. Once the area is cleared, the focus shifts to maze exploration, collecting treasures and keys while avoiding indestructible monsters that force careful route planning.
