Time Tunnel – The C64 Adventure That Sent a Gnome Through History

️ Time Tunnel (1985) – Commodore 64 Puzzle Adventure Across History Released in 1985 by Applied Systems Engineering and published by U. S. Gold for the Commodore 64, Time Tunnel is an atmospheric puzzle-adventure that casts you as a gnome on a quest to become King of the Gnomes. To succeed, you must recover seven fragments of a magical scroll, each hidden in a different time period. The adventure begins in the gnome’s mansion, where activating a time machine opens portals to wildly different eras, including the Stone Age, Ancient Persia, Mythological Greece, Colonial Salem, the California Gold Rush, an intergalactic spaceship, and a distant black hole in the year 9999. Each setting presents its own logic, hazards, and item-based puzzles that must be solved to progress. A defining feature is the “virtual room” inventory system, accessed by holding the fire button, allowing items to be stored and reused across timelines.
