Psycho Santa – Bullfrog Really Made This Bizarre Amiga Christmas Shooter

️ Psycho Santa (1993) – Commodore Amiga Festive Shoot-’Em-Up mayhem Released in 1993 by Bullfrog Productions as a coverdisk title for The One Amiga magazine, Psycho Santa is a playful horizontal-scrolling shoot-’em-up with a distinctly festive twist. Players take control of a heavily armed Santa Claus battling waves of mischievous elves and other Christmas-themed enemies in a mission to save the holiday season. The gameplay sticks to classic side-scrolling shooter conventions, focusing on fast reactions, enemy patterns, and screen control. Levels are compact and action-packed, making the game easy to jump into while still delivering satisfying arcade-style challenge. Psycho Santa stands out thanks to its colourful presentation and tongue-in-cheek tone. The experience is boosted by a lively ProTracker soundtrack by Kevin Earl, which adds energy and personality to the festive mayhem. Although short in length, Psycho Santa became a memorable Amiga oddity, fondly remembered for its humour, polish, and seasonal novelty.
