️ M. U. L. E. (1983) – Commodore 64 Multiplayer Strategy Economic Classic Released in 1983 by Ozark Softscape and published by Electronic Arts, M. U. L. E. is a landmark multiplayer strategy game designed by Danielle Bunten (credited as Dan Bunten). Set on the fictional planet Irata, you all become rival colonists competing to build a thriving economy through careful planning, negotiation, and cooperation. Gameplay is split between two contrasting phases. In the real-time auction, you bid aggressively for plots of land, while the turn-based phase focuses on managing resources using M. U. L. E. s to produce food, energy, smithore, and crystite. Balancing production with market demand is essential, especially as unexpected events such as pirate raids and meteor showers disrupt even the best-laid plans. Supporting up to four players, M. U. L.
