Moonstone – Four Knights, One Moonstone and a Literal GORE Switch on the Amiga

️ Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight (1991) – Commodore Amiga Dark Fantasy Action RPG Released in 1991 by Mindscape for the Commodore Amiga, Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight is a distinctive hybrid of action, strategy, and role-playing designed by Rob Anderson. Set in a grim fantasy version of Britain, the game casts you as a knight chosen by druids to recover the mystical Moonstone and return it safely to Stonehenge. Gameplay alternates between turn-based movement on a world map and brutal real-time combat encounters. Knights travel across the land visiting villages, forests, and monster-guarded dolmens, collecting treasures and keys while racing rival knights who are also pursuing the Moonstone. When enemies are encountered, the game shifts into one-on-one combat reminiscent of Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior. Timing, positioning, and aggression are key, with battles often ending in graphic and decisive fashion.
