Gemstone Warrior – Early C64 Dungeon Action Before RPGs Got Cosy

️ Gemstone Warrior (1985) – Commodore 64 Action Adventure | Retro Classic Gemstone Warrior (1985) is a 2D action-adventure game developed by Paradigm Creators and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc. , originally released on the Apple II before being ported to the Commodore 64. Set within a dangerous labyrinth beneath a volcanic fortress, you guide an armoured hero armed with a crossbow and limited magical attacks in search of five hidden gemstone fragments. Each run takes place across randomly generated dungeon rooms filled with skeletal warriors, demons, gas-trap plants, and deadly hazards. Supplies and magical items can be looted from chests, coffins, and fallen enemies. Useful tools include healing goblets, screen-clearing crystal balls, illusion spells, invisibility, and freezing magic, all of which must be used carefully. Mapping, saving, and strategic planning are essential for survival.
