Dynablaster – The Amiga Multiplayer Bomber That Could Ruin Friendships

️ Dynablaster (1992) – Commodore Amiga Explosive Multiplayer Maze Classic Released in early 1992 by Ubisoft and developed by Hudson Soft, Dynablaster is the Amiga’s take on the legendary Bomberman formula, delivering fast-paced maze action built around timing, positioning, and glorious mayhem. Known as Bomberman on other platforms, this version became a firm favourite for Amiga multiplayer sessions. Gameplay takes place in grid-based arenas where players drop bombs to clear blocks, uncover power-ups, and outmanoeuvre opponents. Power-ups increase bomb range, allow multiple bombs, and boost movement speed, turning each round into a tense battle of prediction and quick thinking. Dynablaster truly shines in multiplayer, supporting up to five players using a joystick adaptor, with four on joysticks and one on the keyboard. Matches are frantic, tactical, and endlessly replayable, making it a staple of living-room gaming during the Amiga’s peak years.
