Darkseed – The Amiga Horror Adventure Built Around H.R. Giger’s Art
️ Darkseed (1992) – Commodore Amiga Psychological Horror Adventure Released in 1992 by Cyberdreams for the Commodore Amiga, Darkseed is a psychological point-and-click adventure that blends science fiction horror with deeply unsettling themes. You play as Mike Dawson, a successful advertising executive who moves into a quiet mansion, only to discover he has been implanted with an alien embryo while unconscious. Gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle-solving, and navigating between the real world and a nightmarish parallel dimension known as the Dark World. Every action is governed by a strict in-game time limit, forcing careful planning as the alien embryo slowly matures. Missed clues or wasted time can permanently lock you out of progress, making tension a constant companion. One of Darkseed’s defining features is its striking visual presentation. The game uses high-resolution 640×350 graphics on the Amiga to showcase the biomechanical artwork of H.
