Alien – Why Didn’t the Nostromo Crew Always Obey Your Orders? | C64
Released in 1984 by Concept Software and published by Argus Press Software for the Commodore 64, ALIEN is a tense hybrid of strategy and adventure inspired by Ridley Scott’s 1979 science-fiction classic. Set aboard the doomed spaceship Nostromo, the game challenges you to manage a vulnerable crew while a deadly alien stalks the corridors. Gameplay unfolds in real time from a top-down perspective, with you controlling all seven crew members simultaneously. Each character has an individual emotional state, ranging from calm and confident to panicked and broken, directly affecting their performance and chances of survival. Balancing morale, positioning, and resources is essential to keeping the team alive. Progression depends on careful exploration and intelligent decision-making. You must search the ship for weapons, oxygen tanks, and vital equipment while tracking the alien’s movements and planning ambushes.
